3CR has a number of special broadcasts each year to celebrate important community activist events. These broadcasts are staged at live events around Melbourne or in the studios of 3CR in Fitzroy.

Don’t miss the mighty Sporting Record Garage Sale on Sunday 16 November 9am-3pm. The Sporting Record is joining the Garage Sale Trail and taking over the 3CR car park for a day of great finds and good vibes to raise funds for 3CR! You’ll find plants, records, cassettes, 3CR merch, and plenty more treasures on offer. Come down, have a browse, and support community radio.
Congratulations to our three winners at the recent Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Awards! 3CR Breakfast Shows took away the ‘Best Program: News and Current Affairs’, Rachel Kirby was awarded ‘Outstanding Station Leadership’ and Tilde Joy won the inaugural ‘Jane Brownrigg Award - Outstanding Volunteer Contribution’. Fantastic! A special shout out to the other finalists including The Sporting Record, Nasser Mashni from Palestine Remembered and Vivien Langford from The Climate Action Show. A huge congratulations to all!
