Beyond the Bars is Australia’s only live prison broadcast and this year is expanded to involve over 100 Indigenous men and women from the inside sharing stories, songs, opinions and poems from within the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Barwon Prison, Fulham Correctional Centre, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Loddon Prison and Port Phillip Prison.

Established on the lawns of Old Parliament House in January 1972, the embassy has been a focal point for the struggle for Aboriginal rights. Few Australian political protests can claim to have made an impact as great or as lasting as the Tent Embassy.
