About The Black Block

The Black Block is an interactive Indigenous current affairs program, initiated by the late Viv Malo, a Gooniyandi woman who was born & lived on the Lands of the Kulin Nations.

The Black Block hour rejects Capitalism and the dominant world view that money is the answer to all our problems, we will expose the system and it's flaws while empowering the individual to think outside the box, and together, free our minds from our Colonial oppressors and look beyond the dying Capitalist System. The Show aims to be a part of creating the better world we know is possible through conscious and active participation as the creators we are.

Spotlighting everyday local Indigenous voices and connections made through social media The Black Block will encourage and offer the desperately needed unadulterated grass-roots perspectives that mainstream media is missing. An eclectic selection of music to empower and inform along with a regular Vox Pop, The Black Block will have plenty on offer for all you mob.
