Freedom Flotilla

The Freedom Flotilla to West Papua is an unprecedented event of creative resistance to the Indonesian occupation of West Papua. The initiative of Indigenous Elders of Australia and West Papua set out to build global solidarity and highlight the abuses of human rights and land rights carried out under the occupations of their lands on an international stage.

Indearts Deadly Nomination

Indearts presenter John Harding has been nominated for the "Community Broadcaster of The Year" Deadly Award. John has been broadcasting on 3CR for 2 years and says it is "such an honour to just to be nominated, considering the great quality of community broadcasting across the nation". Indearts is on air every Tuesday from 10-11am, presenting an indigenous point of view on current affairs, the arts and music.

Beyond the Bars 2013

Tune in throughout NAIDOC week to 3CR to hear Beyond the Bars - Australia's only live prison broadcast. The broadcast involves over 100 Indigenous men, women and young people from the inside, sharing stories, songs, opinions and poems from within the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Barwon Prison, Fulham Correctional Centre, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Loddon Prison and Port Phillip Prison.

This annual broadcast by 3CR's Indigenous broadcasters marks Australia's Invasion Day. Indigenous activists have broadcast at 3CR from the year 3CR began in1976. Tune in on 26 January each year and hear the truth about Australia's ongoing colonialism and the current campaigns to right past wrongs.

Beyond the Bars is a unique series of live prison radio broadcasts that give voice to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inmates in Victorian prisons. The broadcasts are presented by 3CR's First Nations broadcasters during NAIDOC* Week (July).
