Claudia speaks with Professor Justine Nolan, Director of the Australian Human Rights Institute at UNSW, Sydney about the intersection of human rights and mega sports. The discussion focusses on the treatment of migrant workers in Qatar which is hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup next month and the impact of international humanitarian group efforts to bring change. Also discussed is the way stakeholders such as corporate sponsors and the media can leverage their power to advocate for meaningful change and contribute to compensation funds for families of affected workers.
