Chris Gough, Executive Director of the Canberra Alliance for Harm Minimisation and Advocacy (CAHMA), provides us with an update on Australia’s first fixed-site pill and drug testing site, which launched in Canberra in July 2022. Chris shares learnings from the CanTEST Health and Drug Checking Service, and talks about the importance of harm minimisation and decriminalisation.//

 

Award-winning journalist, author, and mental health advocate Jill Stark discusses the updated edition of her book High Sobriety, which has been longlisted for the Walkley Book award and shortlisted for the Kibble Literary Awards. She speaks about her struggle to become a moderate drinker, the crippling ‘hangxiety’ that led to her quitting alcohol for good, the pandemic, and the ever-evolving journey of self-discovery sobriety has taken her on. Jill has spent ten years on staff at The Age covering health and social affairs, and now works as a freelance journalist, speechwriter, media consultant, content creator, and public speaker.//
