Mercedes Zanker is a producer and host on 3CR's Uprise Radio and an anti-military activist with Renegade Activists, conveners of the Raucous Anti-AUKUS Caucus online symposiums. Mercedes joins us to provide updates on AUKUS, the trilateral security pact between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States announced late last year.

Selena Repanis is a graphic designer who designed Voiceworks Magazine from 2020 until recently. She also co-runs Amici Studio. She's running the 'Graphic Design as World Building Workshop' for The National Editing and Writing Students Conference (NEWS). She joins us today to share her journey into graphic design, how to build worlds, and how to create creative and authentic work.  The online workshop will run tomorrow, Friday the 20th of May, starting at 12PM.// 

 

8:15 Tamar Hopkins

Tamar Hopkins joins us to speak about concerns with proactive policing operations by Victoria Police, and attendant issues with accountability, scrutiny and oversight. Tamar is a lawyer and researcher who has worked in the area of police accountability, police powers and racial profiling since 2005. She is currently working for the Inner Melbourne Community Legal Centre (ICML) on a COVID policing project.
