Nour Salman is a Palestinian activist and Project Lead for the Anti-Palestinian Racism project helmed by Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, APAN. Under this project, they launched the Anti-Palestinian Racism in Australian Schools report last year. Last week, Teachers for Palestine Victoria had a forum, "Teaching Against Racism and Repression: Palestine is the Lesson". The event focused on the pressure on teachers who teach and talk about Palestine, and also the power of teachers and education support staff in schools to meet the moment we are in. In this sharing, Nour speaks of the importance of understanding our role as settlers here and the intersections of settler colonialism that manifests both in Palestine and here in so-called Australia.

Lucinda Thorpe is Privacy Campaigner at Digital Rights Watch. Lucinda speaks about the exposure draft of the Children's Online Privacy Code which was published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner two weeks ago. Kasinda and Sienna are two members of Heavy Amber, a trio making waves in Naarm's music scene with their debut single Crystal Columns. Drawing inspiration from the rich textures of 70s psychedelia and blending it with modern influences, their sound is both nostalgic and refreshingly new. They speak about their music, their creative process, and their upcoming single launch on April 24th at Cactus Room.

Grant is the mastermind behind Book Doof, a social reading experience that brings people together in some of the city’s most atmospheric venues. Part book club, part ambient hangout, it’s all about quiet connection, low lighting, and getting lost in a good book. And this time, it’s happening at Revolver Upstairs in Prahran, supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. This event will run on Saturday May 30th from 4pm.
