Huang Ni tells her story to Belinda Lo and Lella Cariddi OAM, for "This Singular Life", a project that was part of the 2022 Victorian Seniors Festival (40th Anniversary). "This Singular Life" comprises first person narratives by four senior Victorians whose origins and heritage speak of a different time, in a different place, but who now call Australia home.

Charlie is part of the organising committee for SlutWalk Naarm/Melbourne and joins us in the studio to discuss the history of the SlutWalk movement in Naarm, the focus of this year's event, and what we can expect from the first in-person gathering since 2019. The SlutWalk rally will take place on Saturday 19th November at 1pm outside the State Library.

Lana Nguyen, independent producer/curator, joins us this morning to talk about House of Mother Tongue, House of Other Tongue – Hát Xe Buýt (Singing Bus) - a bus-ride co-curated by Hoang Tran Nguyen and Lana Nguyen that will ferry audiences across the House of Mother Tongue, House of Other Tongue exhibitions. This hosted journey will feature performers and artists across cultural and social movements, engaging guests on notions of place and practices of language reclamation and justice. Hosts include legendary poet πO, Timmah Ball, Beth Sometimes and Tania Cañas. This event is part of the Neighbourhood Contemporary Art Festival (Nov 11-27).

Matilda from Cafe Collective at the Catalyst Social Centre joins us on the show this morning to talk about Catalyst Festival, a free 3 day festival of connection and resistance over the weekend of 11-13 of November. The program includes workshops, talks, film screenings, music, games, food, stalls and more.

Snuff Puppets specialise in non-traditional arts audiences, and in creatively reclaiming streets and public spaces with their giant puppets. They are deliberately anarchic, rebellious and dangerous, and their work tackles difficult, awkward and taboo topics that invite our audiences to challenge themselves, simultaneously causing discomfort and delight. This morning Snuff Puppets performer Opal is on the show to talk to us about SWAMP, Snuff Puppets' newest show.
