Journalist Roza Germian lived through war for most of her childhood. In 1991 she was one of more than one million Kurds who fled Saddam Hussein's Iraq. She now works as the executive producer on SBS Radio Kurdish. The remarkable Germian will share her story at the Wheeler Centre on Thursday October 10th at Writing in Exile hosted by Sami Shah.

Samia Khatun challenges the colonial myth that European knowledge traditions are superior to those of colonised peoples in her new book Australianama. A few weeks ago, Em met with Samia to discuss the importance of South Asian languages and stories as a source of transformation, creating new ways of understanding what gets called "Australian history".

Monique is a lawyer from Human Rights Law Centre. She speaks with Grace about the Australian Government's new bill that is seeking to expand the use of cashless welfare cards.
