Commons Conversations Series 4: Neha Madhok and Michelle Prasad

Saturday, 31 January 2026 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

This week’s episode features a conversation between Neha Madhok and Michelle Prasad, who recently engaged in research concerning the experiences of People of Colour, First Nations People, and Multicultural Communities in the climate movement. Neha, who is the co-founder of Democracy in Colour, produced the ‘Betraying White Supremacy’ report while Michelle, a Movement Monitor Fellow, produced ‘First Nations and Multicultural Voices from the Climate Movement.’ Drawing on their reports as well as their lived experience, Neha and Michelle identify systemic barriers to full participation and leadership as well as the means by which a climate justice movement rooted in equity and self-determination can be created.
