Tasnim Sammak is a Palestinian woman, educator, researcher and organiser with Free Palestine Coalition Naarm. In her speech Tasnim spoke the rise of the far right and how it is impacting the struggle for a free Palestine; Israel's continued and increased aggression against Palestine, Lebanon and Iran; and the urgent need for united organising.

Kmart's line of smart glasses sold out after their release on 28 July. On Friday, the Attorney-General, Michelle Rowland, appealed to Australia's Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) to investigate the potential privacy implications of smart glasses. This morning, we'd like to revisit a conversation we had with Lucinda Thorpe, Privacy Campaigner at Digital Rights Watch, about surveillance technology and Meta targeting its marketing of its AI glasses towards young women. Smruti is an International student from India here to speak with us about the The Cockroach Janta Party and the protests occurring in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and other major Indian cities. The CJP is a satirical yet people-power fuelled party that has been described by its founder Abhijeet Dipke as “a political party for the people the system forgot to count.” The CJP party formed as a result of millions of students in India’s frustration with the medical exam paper leaks, critiquing the education system of India.
