Invisible Disabilities

Wednesday, 13 February 2019 - 6:00pm to 6:30pm

This month Lisa Brumtis from Brain Injury Matters (BIM) and Brenda Penaluna join Bronwyn Trickett (AMIDA) to speak about the importance of not making assumptions about people. Lots of disabilities are not immediately apparent.

For example, some people with visual or auditory disabilities do not wear glasses or hearing aids. An ABI (acquired brain injuries) intellectual disability, chronic illness and mental health can all be invisible disabilities.
