We Say NO! 20 years of community resistance against nuclear waste

Saturday, 26 August 2017 - 10:00am to 10:30am

On Saturday 19th August, a special event was held bringing together people from the Irati Wanti, Muckaty and current campaigns against a National radioactive waste dump.  On this week’s radioactive show, we hear some of the speakers’ courageous and inspiring stories of people on the frontline, learn the history of community resistance and how together we can win.

The new short film We Say NO was launched at the event.  It brings together voices from South Australia and beyond presenting clear and united opposition to the Federal government’s proposal for a Radioactive Waste Management Facility in the State. Please share widely through facebook or youtube.

“South Australia has spoken. We say NO, and we mean NO.” Regina McKenzie

“Many voices bring promises of wealth, but one State, with a cohesive strong voice, says We Say NO.” Lavene Ngatokorua
