D'Arcy Rouillard is an Australian-Mauritian Artist, whose practice revolves primarily around textiles and sculpture, though she is constantly expanding is practice to include more mediums. Her art investigates a variety of themes including; the materiality of metal, feminism, craft as art and the relationship between metal and textiles. D'Arcy joins us on the show this morning to talk about the Woods Street Youth Art Prize, which is a biennial exhibition presented by Hobsons Bay City Council. It celebrates the diverse perspectives, creative practices and artistic ambitions of young people across Melbourne’s west. In last week's episode of Tuesday Hometime, Jan spoke to Australian/Palestinian writer and filmmaker, Ala’a Al Qaisi about her latest play The Return. They spoke about her move to from Jordan to Australia, her studies in the arts, and her creative practice. This interview first aired on 3CR on Tuesday 25 August 2026. 

The Return will play in theatres across Melbourne and regional Victoria from September 15. It is the first time the play will be performed in the state following a successful Sydney run in 2025. The dates are:

Nat Kopas and Mish Crilly, from the Victorian Wildlife Alliance, who are advocating for a more wildlife friendly government in this year's state election. Mish has a long history of rescue for both wildlife and hard to rehome animals and has decades of experience advocacy for wildlife, farmed animals and feminism. Nat also has a long history of animal advocacy, including the campaign to end duck shooting, and is coordinator with Advocacy for a kinder World.
