How does noise pollution affect animal behaviour?

Sunday, 26 July 2026 - 11:30am to Sunday, 2 August 2026 - 12:00pm

Humans are undoubtedly noisy creatures. However, since our hearing aparatus evolved on land, we can't even hear the half of the noise that we make underwater.

Boating, shipping, mining - all these activities have complex impacts on the behaviour of marine biota.

On today's show, PhD Candidate Jack Manera joins us in the studio to share his research on the impact of boat noise on the curious mutualistic realtionship between a sand goby and a snapping shrimp.
