In episode 5 of Liberation Loops, Carly speaks with Nawa Nightshade, herbalist, somatic coach, death doula and community organiser. Their healing practice is centred on anti-oppressive praxis that works to address systemic harm, informed by decolonial activism on the front lines.

Jeremey Kings speaks to Max about the IBAC findings into the police raid on the Hares and Hyenas bookshop and covidpolicing.org.au, a website launched to track policing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Priya speaks with Nick Ferguson, a spokesperson for the United Workers Union, about the campaign to get Australian universities to support their cleaning staff– many of whom are international students – during COVID-19. UWU are asking you to

1. Sign the petition created by University Cleaners calling on Universities to support them

2. View Niroshan’s story and share it on your social media to help him and other university cleaners build community support.

3. Go to the social media of your favourite University to call on them to support their cleaners so they can’t hide their responsibilities.

Priya talks to Shan Windscript and Jimmy Yang, graduate researchers and casual workers at the University of Melbourne, about the lack of support provided to grad students during the pandemic and their open letter to demand universal extensions and paid COVID leave for all domestic and international students.
