Thursday, 22 August 2019 - 8:30am to 9:00am
Spiderweb

This week on the show we hear from Chris and the impactful Australian discovery of feeding pink seaweed to cattle reduces methane emissions by up to 90%.

Also on the show Stu draws our attention back to the periodic table of elements, this time to Selenium and Tellurium - two elements named after the moon and the Earth, and which have a special significance in the production of solar cells.

And Claire takes a look at the humble spiderweb, we know it is stronger than steel, but did you know that some spiders can form up to 7 different kinds of web, all which have the potential to be utilised for biomimicry purposes?
