Fuchsia lives in Benalla. She is a permaculture enthusiast who has shared gardening and composting tips in Renew magazine and has recently begun writing about permaculture for the Local Food Connect newsletter.

Fuchsia is currently studying horticulture at Charles Sturt University. 

She oulines one of her permaculture approaches this way:

...instead of looking at different crops as individuals, I started thinking more about how they interact with each other. How they’re planted in relation to each other, how one plant will shade another, or where one will provide extra nutrients for a hungry neighbour, or how one can scramble up another for support.
