Nigel Topping says he was the son of a coal miner. When he went to Cambridge and studied mathematics he fell in love with systems. He outlines the systems that will help us prevent climate chaos if we stick together, fly in the same direction and allow for flexibility. It is well illustrated in the video behind his Ted Talk.

Wherever you are in lockdoiwn you can also still bombard your government representative to tell them they DO have a duty of care to our children and future generations. One of his rules is illustrated by a flock of starlings, They stick together, they keep enough distance between them for flexibility and they are flying mostly in the same direction. It's a magic picture of how he wants business, government and civil society to fly to zero carbon.
He gives the example of how A. civil society ran the court case Shell ordered to slash emissions 45% by 2030 in historic court ruling (climatechangenews.com) and B.
