Hong Kong, the United States and climate change

Sunday, 8 September 2019 - 9:15am to 9:30am

People often ask and hint at the similarities between the Hong Kong protests and the French Yellow Vests. The HK protest started on 31 March and are approaching their 20th week – the Yellow Vests (YV) have celebrated last weekend their 40th week of protests.

There is no comparison between the two movements, except that they are protests – but for widely different reasons and serving widely different agendas. The YV can in no way be associated with the Hong Kong “protests” – which are equal to US funded Color Revolutions.

Climate Strike:

We are facing climate crisis and already hurting from the impacts of climate change.  Yet we have elected a Government that wants to allow for new coal, oil and gas projects that put all of us at risk.

We need to act now to stay away from coal, oil & gas and to have 100% renewable energy for all.
