Pride Party Broadcast

Victoria's Pride Street Party Broadcast is a 4-hour special event happening on Sunday 12 February, 12- 4pm. Hear from 3CR’s queer programs as we broadcast out of the studios and onto the streets, live from Smith St with interviews, commentary, and stories presented by broadcasters from Out Of The Pan, In Ya Face, PX Whanau, and Queering The Air on topics that focus on queer pride, representation, decriminalisation of homosexuality, and ongoing advocacy for LGBTIQA+ people.

12 - 1pm  Out Of The Pan 
Sally Goldner with Zara Jones of Trans and Gender Diverse Clothing Swap; actor and activist Frankie Mazzone; and Heather Riley, lead singer of queer bubblegum punk band Cry Club. Listen back.

James Mckenzie with DJ Mon Franco, event producer of Open Seen; Alison Thorne, longtime queer activist and member of Radical Women; and Paul Kidd, HIV activist, and defence lawyer. Listen back. 

2 - 3pm  PX Whanau
Marqy Kitione and Sonja Hammer with Pasifika drag artist and Baby Drag 2022 Winner Tongan Cheek; Rupauls Drag RACE DU S2, Pasifika Royality Kween Kong and Kikki Temple, actor, playwright, and performer from Aotearoa. Listen back. 

3 - 4pm  Queering The Air 
Jacob Gamble and Sasja Sÿdek with Bridge Meals founder and human rights advocate Azlan; Dahyna Heena, hair and make-up artist, and Beauty Queen 2017 Miss Trans Australia joined by her mother; Ingrid Makláry, Founder of Fag Dyke social events; and DJ, producer, and curator Stev Zar.
