This week on Women on the Line, we hear some highlights from the Activism @ the Margins conference.

In the first half of the show, Kashifa Aslam, an RMIT researcher, looks at the women behind the viral hashtag #illridewithyou.  Kashifa also explores whether their activism was real, or symbolic.

Later in the program, RMIT lecturer, Pauline Anastasiou discusses the silent activism of the Big Umbrella Foundation.
