In this episode we introduce the FIGJAM collective a group of systemic advocates ‘Formerly Incarcerated Girls, Justice Advocates Melbourne’. The collective is comprised of 25 members all with lived experience of the ‘in’justice system. They provide peer support for one another, providing a place of belonging and community. In this episode we hear from FIGJAM members Niki, Sara, and Bee who speak about the significanceof having a place and space like FIGJAM. The importance of community and what they have been doing since becoming members. We supported their agency and self-determination allowing them to have free flowing conversations.
