Melbourne filmmaker Zoe Coldham talks to us about her new project Fitzroy : A History of Protest & Activism.
Following her short documentary Gore Street, Fitzroy (2025), Zoe is now developing her first feature documentary, Fitzroy: A History of Protest and Activism. The film widens the lens from Gore Street to Fitzroy as a whole, looking at the suburb’s history of activism and collective action and the role it has played in shaping the area.
The project has received development support from the City of Yarra and VicScreen, and we’re now launching a community story and fundraising campaign to help move the film towards production.
