Musician and founder of the Black Wreath record label, Pirate, lives in Alice Springs, Mparntwe.
Pirate joined Marty (Wednesday Breakfast) in the studios of 3CR recently to discuss the Black Wreath's celebrated heavy metal festival Blacken Open Air, held at Ross River in September. In addition to this year's festival, Pirate also organised the successful Shadows of Uluru concert, featuring Sand Diego's Earthless, desert rock pioneers the Brant Bjork Trio, Pitjantjatjara musician Jeremy Whiskey, and Melbourne/Naarm duo Divide & Dissolve.
