Listening to the archieves from the Manus recording project. This week we are starting to listen to the "How are you today" recordings from 2018.

These men, seeking asylum by boat, were forcibly transferred to Manus Island by the Australian government nearly seven years ago. Now, they are held in hotels or detention centres in Port Moresby, Melbourne or Brisbane. Some have gained safety in other counrties also.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have to flee terror in your own country, spend days or weeks in a leaky boat on dangerous, rolling seas ready to swallow you at any moment, and then arrive in a new country, where you are terrorised even more?
