Christobel is an electronic musician with a wide-ranging creative and community practice, which includes being a radio presenter right here at 3CR! As you’ll hear later on, you can catch Christobel presenting Salaam Radio every second Sunday of the month, so it’s great to be able to support the incredible musical talent we have at the station. I have known Christobel for many years through our shared local music community, first through her work with rnb electronic duo Pillow Pro and now as a solo artist. Pillow Pro began releasing music in 2015, and quickly became a fixture of the local queer/electronic music scene. Christobel has also been producing her own solo music, releasing her debut EP HAIL U in 2020, a dedication to her maternal lineage. Today, Christobel will be introducing songs from her debut album GLOW. It is an honour to get to spotlight her music through And This One's Introduced By!

The tracks presented here are all written, produced and mixed by Christobel, with mastering by Dan Ford. As a fully independent artist, this is no small feat - trying to balance creative practice,  life, work and everything else is a lot to manage! It’s really important we support local artists especially those without industry support - make sure you listen til the end of the interview to find out where to listen to and purchase Christobel’s music.
