The team recaps the new reforms that the Meloni governemt pushed through parliament recently, effectively banning religious prayer wear being worn in schools. Burkas and Niqabs banned. More worrying still a 30% foreign language as a first language students in Italian schools cap will be implemented in some way that is as yet unclear but will include children over that cap being relocated to other surrounding schools, tearing apart family networks and destabilizing communities. 

Von der Leyen’s Plan for an “Independent” Europe: More Weapons, Less Regulation, More Aid to Ukraine. We read out the translated version of the head of the comission of the EU in order to contextualize some of the conversations in the program but also to highlight one of the big roots into the current economic war that is being waged on the working class.
