Next up on What the Art? We're speaking with Daniel the CEO and Artistic Director and Aamer Live Performance Producer from Footscray Community Arts about Footscray Community Arts new Outdoor Performace Centre Lango.
After more than three years of community collaboration, creativity, unexpected discoveries and determination, Lango is finally here.
To mark this long-awaited milestone, Footscray Community Arts invites you to Lango Live, a two-day celebration of live music, performance and community, launching our extraordinary new outdoor performance space.
Join FCA on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October and be part of Lango’s very first weekend.
With live music from KAIIT, Drifting Clouds, Shewita, Naycab, Afrodisiac and Mothafunk (plus a special guest to be revealed), Lango Live brings together an incredible lineup of artists to be among the first to take the stage at Lango.
Across two days, experience Lango as it was imagined: alive with music, artists, audiences and community. Gather on the lawns, discover the new space and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for Footscray Community Arts.

Congratulations to Sally Goldner, presenter of Out of the Pan, on her award for Outstanding Contribution to Media at the Victorian Pride Awards on Saturday 15 August. 'This is a first', Sally said accepting the award, 'A queer media award to someone who plays music of all the non-binary kinds, country, western, and classic rock. Oh yeah!'
'I want to thank 3CR in its 50th year for being a leader in Melbourne and the broader not-for-profit and amazing community radio sectors for their 21-year support of Out of the Pan. They’ve been so well placed to be a proactive media leader standing with trans and gender diverse people, and for their support of me personally.'
'Stay difficult. And stay happy. Stay proudly queer. And that’s the bottom line, because Sal Goldner said so!'
