The Sand Pebbles is the name of a 3 hour 1966 action film starring Steve McQueen and Candice Bergen.                                     
Sand Pebbles are also a great Australian band formed in 2001 by three scriptwriters from the TV series Neighbours.   

The Sand Pebbles have released 7 full-length albums, their most recent The Antagonist out on Kasumuen contains a delicious confection of shimmering guitars. chugging strings and celestial vocal effects.
