Green Left Radio speaks to Hope Mathumbu a public healthcare worker about her experiences working on the front-line as a Public Health worker in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak occurring in Melbourne drawing on her experiences working on the COVID-19 testing efforts and how her experience has informed her perspective on the limitations of the State government's approach to the pandemic, how it intersects with the issues of racism and class, and why we need a public health policy that's based on empowering the community and not draconian or punitive measures that pins the blame on individuals.
