Jamie Hutchings — singer, songwriter, and guitarist — first made his mark in the early 1990s with the Sydney band Bluebottle Kiss. Across six albums, plus a string of EPs and singles, the band built a devoted following for their raw, emotionally charged sound.
Outside of Bluebottle Kiss, Hutchings has released three solo albums, each expanding his reputation as one of Australia’s most uncompromising and inventive songwriters. In 2013, he formed Infinity Broke, who this year release their fourth album, The Masthead (2025).
Described as "like Thurston Moore covering Neil Young’s ‘Like a Hurricane’ in Düsseldorf" (The Music), The Mastheadis a dense, immersive work — perhaps touched by the influence of European musique concrète — that resists easy categorisation while pulling the listener deep into its textures.
