Wally "Meanie" Kempton is passionate about music having performed in many music related roles all through his life.

He's been a band booker for the Evelyn in Fitzroy and The Tote in Collingwood, roadied and tour managed for bands all over Australia and overseas.

Wally recorded Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons  and Sports covers  for a 3RRR compilation and currently records and tours with Melbourne bands The Meanies and Even.

In 2018 he  took the plunge and launched his brand-new record label, Cheersquad Records & Tapes to release material he's passionate about, Wally says “I want to put out music that I really love, and think should be heard. Since then, Cheersquad Records & Tapes has released new and older material from a large list of  interesting  artists.
