Startime is a Melbourne based nü-Marxist Disco collective, appropriately taking their name from both a James Brown record and a Sun Ra album, StarTime is a Melbourne 7 piece collective performing free improvisation over live dance beats.

Released in 2021 on cassette and digital download on Bandcamp Dying Birds has 6 tracks featuring players Ben Butcher, Ben Christianson, Dave Gray, Paul Kidney, Patrick Pantano, and Richard Walsh.

Patrick Pantano joins Dr Gonzo to introduce the tracks from the album Dying Birds on "And This One's Introduced By..." on 3CR.
