Black Pumas are a psychedelic soul band from Austin, Texas. Singer / Songwriter Eric Burton & Adrian Quesada the group’s guitarist and producer released their premier self titled album in 2019.                                                                                                                   
Quesada played in Latin funk outfit Grupo Fantasama that won the Grammy award for best Latin rock, Urban or alternative album for the 2010 album El Existential.

Eric Burton was heavily involved in musical theatre and started busking at the San Monica pier bringing in several hundred dollars a day and developing his performance skills.

After releasing the first album they were asked to play at South By Southwest and won a best new band trophy at the Austin music awards. At the end of 2023 the Black Pumas released Chronicles Of A Diamond.

Thomas Smith of NME described it as "a more realised offering to the world and exceeds their debut album" and observed that "you can't help but hear Burton's confidence growing across the album's running time, his potential still untapped and with room to grow".
