Michael Waugh is a high school teacher, he's also one of Australia's great singer/songwriters who continues the legacy of country / folk artists Eric Bogle and Paul Kelly.

Michael will be introducing tracks from his third album The Weir, The Weir refers to Gippsland's irrigation reservoir Glenmaggie Dam where Michael spent his childhood.

The songs on The Weir contain personal stories about growing up in Gippsland and anecdotes about the government's neglect and rash decisions that made an impact on the working people's lives.
