New NT water laws open door to cotton

Sunday, 5 September 2021 - 11:00am to 11:30am

The Northern Territory Government recently changed the water act when they passed the Territory Economic Reconstruction Bill, to boost economic recovery through the pandemic. It opens the door to new developments and it's not welcome news for all Territorians

This week on Earth Matters we hear from Dr Cathy Laudenbach manager at Merrepen Arts and senior artist Kieren Karritpul. Both based in the small community of Nauiyu on the Daly River.

Later in the show we hear from Dr Kirsty Howey Co-director of the Environment Centre of the Northern Territory
