Floodplain harvesting in the Murray-Darling Basin is under the spotlight once again.

A new inquiry in the NSW Upper House will seek to determine if the practice of taking floodwater off the floodplain without a licence is legal.

This week we hear from Barkindji Man Badger Bates on the importance of floods, Honorary Senior Lecturer of Environment and Society at the Australian National University Matthew Colloff about floodplain harvesting practices and policies and NSW Greens MP and chair of the NSW Upper House Select Committee Cate Faehrmann.
