Climate threatened Torres Strait Islanders take Australia to the UN

Tuesday, 2 July 2019 - 6:00pm to 6:30pm

This week we conduct a special in depth interview with ClientEarth in the UK - a climate change litigation firm bringing a claim on behalf of a group of Torres Strait Islanders against the Australian government.

It’s the first climate litigation brought against the government based on human rights, alleging the government’s inaction on climate change is a breach of the Islanders’ cultural rights.
