The theme of the 3CR radiothon this year is – Power Radical Radio. And as this is a show all about communication, we see 3CR community radio as a very special communication powerhouse right here in Melbourne. With the ever expanding commodification of the media, at 3CR the power of communication is placed back into the hands of the community providing a platform for strong and diverse voices.

In this radiothon edition we feature three of those voices, programmers who have been communicating over the airwaves for years, in some cases decades, and now digitally streaming and podcasting  - the 'unsung heroes' powering radical radio.
