Communicating about climate change - how's Al Gore doing? What about climate scientists?

Thursday, 7 September 2017 - 6:00pm to 6:30pm

Simon Torok, part of the team of science communicators at Scientell talks about ways to distill and summarize technical information about extreme weather events and climate change for non-scientific audiences.

Over the past decade Al Gore’s become something of a warrior for action on climate change. Kim Borg from the Sustainable Development Institute at Monash University is not so sure. In the second part of the show this week, she explains why.

Monday 6:00pm to 6:30pm
This show casts a critical eye on the myriad ways in which we communicate with each other in our increasingly interconnected, multi-media platform world. Each week we mix down the who, the what, the where, and the how of particular communication events, messages, trends and technologies, and then consider: what impacts and what consequences?
