PIBCI- Public Interest Before Corporate Interest movement launched on 12th April

Wednesday, 15 April 2015 - 10:00am to 11:00am

EVERY issue you can think of comes under the PIBCI umbrella. The main battle in the west today is the fact that three decades of unbridled corporatisation, globalisation, privatisation and deregulation have allowed the corporate sector to usurp the power of parliament and become the parliamentary puppet masters. So we need to take the fight to them, not in terms of single issues, but in terms of a general criticism and more importantly a generalised alternative. Is it in the public interests to have affordable housing for all? Is it in the public interest for every citizen and resident in this country to have equal rigths? Is it in the public interest to allow corporations to dominate our economic affairs? Is it in the public interest to depend on a parliamenty system which is ultimately based on faith? Is it in the public interest to allow unaccountable corporations, whose major responsibility is to their major shareholders, to dictate not only economic policy but also dictate what is and isn't acceptable in terms of public debate in this country and across the globe? That's what PIBCI was launched for, taking as examples the movements that started as small movements that have now spread through Europe. People saying enough is enough. We will use every peaceful mechanism available to us to trip up the corporate giants to ensure that the public interest of every single human issue is put first. Is it in the public interest to have justice for animials? Is it in the public interest to have justice for human beings? Is it in the public interest to ensure that everybody has equal access to the court system, irrespective of their wealth? Any issue you can think of can be incorporated under the PIBSCI umbrella. A series of actions coming up over the next few months will highlight that the interest of the community, the PUBLIC INTEREST should be at the centre of ALLpolitical , social and economic debate.
