Coming up today, we'll have our regular Union News, looking at some of the industrial disputes happening around Australia.
And our main interview today takes us to Western Australia's Pilbara.
We're going to be talking about the recent industrial action by BHP workers at Port Hedland, and what it might mean for the future of unionism in one of Australia's most important mining regions.
And we're joined by someone particularly well placed to talk about that.
Our guest is Alexis Vassiley — a unionist, socialist, academic and industrial relations researcher at Edith Cowan University, and the author of Striking Ore: The Rise and Fall of Union Power in the Pilbara.
Alexis was previously on Stick Together when Striking Ore was released, so today's conversation is really a return to that story — but this time we're looking at what happens when workers in the Pilbara start striking again.
