Salaam Sui Zhen !

On today’s show we have a lot to cover about past and on-going events for Palestine in Naarm. Two upcoming events we like to highlight are the “Healing Day for Palestine” event on Sunday the 17th of December at @auntyalmatsgatheringplace put together by APAN, Dardi Munwurro and Beit e’Shai and the second being “Musicians in Solidarity with Palestine” happening on Wednesday 13th of December, at the @retreat_hotel_brunswick We will have with us on the show, a much loved and admired Naarm based artist Sui Zhen who will speak to us about “Musicians in Solidarity with Palestine” event which she’s helped put together following a wide consultation with the Palestinian and Jewish pro-Palestinian community. Sui Zhen is known for her experimental pop and performance art touching on the intersections between human life and technology - how to exist in the digital age, as well as the ways in which we risk losing true sight of ourselves in the process. Her latest album loosing Linda, speaks to us now more than ever as through it she examines loss on multiple levels - from the death of our loved ones to our widespread societal tendency to disappear within the ones and zeroes of modern life’s tech-driven rush. Tune in from 4-6pm on radio frequency 855 AM or online on 3cr.org.au (@3crmelbourne ) #musiciansforpalestine #healingforpalestine #solidarityforpalestine
