The military campaign by the Sri Lankan government against the Tamil Tigers in April 2009 ended in a massacre of civilians as the military closed on in the last pockets of land in the North East of Sri Lanka. Tamils all arund the world are now commemorating that massacre, and the ongoing discrimination and repression of Tamils in Sri Lanka, as Tamil Genocide Day on May 18. To talk about these issues, we interviewed Charanya from the Tamil Refugee Council.
