This week Meg and Kevin talk with Debbie Carruthers (from Mine-Free Glenaladale) about the proposed 1600 km² mineral sands mine in East Gippsland, by Kalbar Operations Pty Ltd. 

We discuss the concerns surrounding radioactive and carcinogenic dust contaminants for the local community and ecosystems, as well as a major agricultural zone that produces much of Melbourne's food supply. 

Say NO to this mineral sands and rare earths mine by:

1. Writing a submission in response to Kalbar's Environmental Effects Statement (closes 29th October 2020)
