The Bran Flakes specialise in creating entertaining sound collages from pre-existing sources with members in the United States and Canada. The group's members are Otis Fodder (in Montreal, Quebec) and Mildred Pitt (in Seattle, Washington).                          They are prolific, gifted assemblers of funky, twisted audio montages that unfurl like dreams, disconnected yet also pieces of a whole sound.

The Bran Flakes have released 7 albums between 1998 & 2017, titled i remember when I break down, Hey won't somebody come and play?, I don't have a friend, Bounces!, Bubbles, I have hands, and Help me.                                                                                        The first releases were  on  hand dubbed cassette tapes  distributed through mail-order, zines and indie catalogues.

Otis Fodder is also a broadcaster on New York based radio station WFMU hosting a popular eclectic  show  called Friendly Persuasion.
