Iain McIntyre has been broadcasting on community radio station 3CR for over 3 decades after an illustrious time as a historian, writer, broadcaster and musician in Perth.

W.A.’s loss is Victoria’s gain since moving to Melbourne in 1992 raising a family writing  and editing a variety of books about political activism, music, literature and (un)popular culture including the Locus award winning Dangerous Visions and New Worlds: Radical Science Fiction, 1950 to 1980  and Knocking The Top Off: A People’s History of Alcohol in Australia published by Interventions Books in 2023.

Iain has played in more than 15 bands including ninetynine, Thee Stag Knights and Covens Revenge.
