Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this podcast contains images, voices and names of deceased persons.

Djuran Bunjileenee Robbie Thorpe dedicates this weeks Bunjil's Fire episode to Uncle Lionel Fogarty.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of author, artist, and poet Uncle Lionel Fogarty last week. Uncle Lionel was a strong voice in word and deed, fighting for Land Rights and against Black deaths in custody. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and to all those who knew this extraordinary man.

Lionel's image featured on a poster from 3CR's 30th anniversary, 20 years ago. The original photo was from a protest at Cook's cottage.

Wednesday 11:00am to 1:00pm
A historically informed, critical analysis of Aboriginal affairs and the ongoing political movement for land rights, treaty, sovereignty and the cessation of genocide. Featuring the best of blak music.
